Media Content Search using MOSS 2007

The Challenge

NDTV engaged Convergent Technologies to built a Sharepoint based platform to do a range of Media Search – Videos and Slugs from the past archives – that the different user groups could pull at any point.

The Solution

The Sharepoint based Media Search application allows Meta Tagging of past archives, based on a set of document and authoring attributes for easy searchability. The Archives were categorized as year-wise archives. The slugs are tagged with all the search attributes.

The Media Search Application pulls the accurate list of Media files and presents them on Sharepoint portal. The system tracks the usage of the media files.
